How many of you love matcha? It’s a wonderful flavor and ingredient isn’t it? I personally loooove matcha because it’s not too sweet and also a bit bitter an tea-y too haha, oh and I won’t even start to tell you the benefits of it… (it’s a lot!)
I thought that I would share you guys this DIY Matcha roll cake that’s really easy, amazing and tastes like heaven!
So these are the ingredients needed:
For the cake or base
1 1/2 dl sugar
2 dl flour
1 tspoon baking powder
1/2 dl milk
1 ml vanilla sugar
Matcha (as much as you like)
The cream or filling
1 1/2 dl whipping cream
matcha (as much as you would like)
1/2 tspoon vanilla sugar
1 dl sugar
pistachio nuts (as many as you would like)
Make the filling first so it can be chilled in the fridge.
Whip the cream, sugar, matcha, vanilla sugar and pistachio nuts together until you get a soft and thick texture.
Put it into the fridge to chill.
Turn the oven on at 250•C
Put some baking paper onto a platter and grease it with some oil or butter
Beat the eggs and sugar until it’s a bit “puffy”. Add the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and matcha. Add as much matcha as you would like, it you want it taste a lot then add a lot, otherwise add about 2/3 dl matcha.
Add milk and turn it into the batter.
Pour everything into the baking paper platter and bake in the oven With 250•C for 5 minutes.
Take it out and let it chill completely.
When it is chilled, spread the filling onto the base and start to roll!
Now put it into the fridge to chill and after 30 minutes or more, you can enjoy!
