Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation SPF 25 /PA ++

Hello Friday!

It is finally weekend and I personally think it’s one of the best days of the week! Since Friday starts with a F and so does foundations so I’ll do a humble review about the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation SPF 25 / PA ++ for you guys.

So Chanel… I’ve talked about a Chanel product before and it’s not a brand that is unknown to people so I’m not going to get into the brand so much.

Let’s start with the ingredients

aqua (water) | methyl trimethicone | ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate | titanium dioxide (nano) | glycerin | alcohol | dimethicone | phenyl trimethicone | polymethylsilsesquioxane | caprylyl methicone | isododecane | polymethyl methacrylate | butylene glycol | disteardimonium hectorite | peg-10 dimethicone | kalanchoe pinnata leaf extract | phenoxyethanol | stearic acid | dimethicone/peg-10/15 crosspolymer | trifluoropropyldimethyl/trimethylsiloxysilicate | alumina | aluminum hydroxide | caprylyl glycol | magnesium sulfate | parfum (fragrance) | trimethylsiloxysilicate/dimethiconol crosspolymer | triethoxycaprylylsilane | sodium hyaluronate | tocopheryl acetate | dipropylene glycol | maltodextrin | bht | tocopherol | [+ / – (may contain) | ci 77007 (ultramarines) | ci 77491, | ci 77492, | ci 77499 (iron oxides) | ci 77891 (titanium dioxide) | mica] | il18a-i

What the foundation claims to do

It claims to create a natural healthy glow and protects the skin from harsh environmental conditions.

The texture of the foundation is soft and comfortable, glides on the skin and melts away. It finishes with a sheer finish while it evens out the skin.

The foundation

First I want to talk about the packaging. It is very very classy. It feels super expensive and in every detail. The cap of the bottle has the Chanel logo almost “encrypt” within the cap. While putting the cap on, it feels like it has magnets that draws the cap and the bottle together, it closes so smoothly. The bottle is also made of glass and not plastic, it is matte too which makes it really classy.

Second, the foundation has a pump!! You guys.. foundations should always have a pump or anything that should make the whole step easier, that doesn’t make the simple step of getting the foundation out so messy and bacteria “friendly”. (YES I’m throwing major shade at Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation)

Third, as it claims, the foundation is not thick. It is not so watery as a BB cream or tinted moisturizer either.. it’s something in between.

It has tiiiini tiny bits of glitter in it so that it creates a glowy effect. You wouldn’t notice it at all actually.

Forth, it as a scent. The same scent almost all of Chanel’s cosmetics has.. this really popular scent that is very gentle and amazingly addictive. This is also the reason to why some of you might get irritated if you are sensitive to fragrance and such.

Fifth, it goes on perfectly with a beautyblender, a brush or your hands. This time, I used my Real Techniques sponge and it worked perfectly fine too. I actually prefer using a sponge or my hands more than a brush while applying this foundation, it gives my a dewier finish which this is what this foundation is about.

Sixth, it had SPF 25! It is great for daywear and I can’t stress enought how important SPF is! So this is a big plus!

The foundation on me

This is my face before the foundation, with my skincare and primer.

You can see that I have some small pimples and my skin is not so even toned in the corners of my nose. I also have a small scar on my chin that is a bit red.

This is 1 layer of the foundation on one side of my face.

Now you can see that the discolouration around my nose is a bit covered up, and the scar on my chin isn’t as visible. My skin’s texture is also slightly better than before.

And this is my whole face with everything on

I did not use any concealers and I only used a tiny bit of luminizer on my nose. The whole face’s glow is actually from the foundation itself. Isn’t it amazing?

So, the whole day I could feel the foundation’s scent and it was really amusing. Also, I did not feel oily at all (I have combination skin) and didn’t need to blot my face. I was out and about, eating, drinking and also walking around all day.

When I was home, I’ve had the foundation on for more than 7 hours. I felt that I was actually slightly dry. I noticed that around my nose, the foundation was separating and a bit flaky. Only on my nose. Otherwise, most of the foundation was still put and was still flawless.

Ok so here’s my opinion.

I sometimes get really irritated from scents, especially strong scents like this one. Although I really like it, it tends to break me out but the wierd thing is that it only does that sometimes. I’ve had this foundation on several times and sometimes it breaks me out, other times it didn’t. This time, luckily it didn’t.

It gave me a really healthy glow as it stated that it would, it went on amazingly and I felt good with it. The only negative thing I have to say about it is how it gets dry around my nose, and I am really really mindful when it comes to moisturizing so it’s not that, I swear! Haha.

So I think I’ll give this foundation a 4⭐️ if it wasn’t as drying, and doesn’t get flaky and separates around my nose it would’ve gotten a solid 5. It’s also quite pricey too so with that in mind, the foundation should be top notch.

Well, that’s my humble opinion so…

Thank you for reading Lisa’s Opinions! 🌹
