The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Hi there!

Today, I am super excited to review this little jar of magic for you.. why is it magic you ask? Well, because it’s freaking amazing! First of all, it actually works! Second, it’s sooo affordable. Third, it’s a vegan and cruelty free brand 🤩

So let’s start, these are the ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Xanthan gum, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin

Do you know what niacinamide is, or zink? Let me tell you if you don’t.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

It is a water-soluble vitamin which means that it won’t dissolve in oil. It is also the kind of ingredient that is non-acidic which means that it itself cannot irritate your skin.

It helps fade pigmentation, age spots and dark spots. Reduces wrinkles by normalizing the collagen production for your face. It is also anti-inflammatory so it is great for people with acne skin!

It also helps regulate oil production, so for those with oily skin, this ingredient is great for you if you want to regulate oil and at the same time get the other benefits.

It also reduces the appearance of pores and smooths texture. Great if you want to use it before face make up such as foundations and creams.

It also reduces dryness, redness and sallowness. The best thing about it is that it does not have any side effects, even in higher doses! It’s safe and can even be used when you are pregnant.

Acne can be because of zinc deficiency because zinc is found throughout the cells in your body and it helps the immune system to fight bacteria and viruses.

Zinc is added into your skincare to aid healing, collagen production, fight free radicals and fight acne.

The product itself

I’ve been using this for more than 1 month now and this is what I noticed:

I usually get hormonal breakouts when it’s that time of the month and this has been amazing at keeping the breakouts from not happening or reduced it. I don’t get as much breakouts as I usually did before. I have dry skin too and that’s why I don’t use it everyday, maybe only at night of once every second day.

What I love about this product is that my pores are sooo much unnoticable while I apply this onto my face. If I use foundations, it goes on perfectly and almost like blurred my pores. If I don’t use foundation, the pores just are shrinked so I don’t mind them so much anymore.

The texture

The product has a thick texture and melts on your face but dries really fast so work fast. I use to drop the product right onto my face so I can quickly spread the product evenly without wasting the product.

I have slightly dry skin, so this can get a bit drying for me so I usually use a moisturize after this. It is after all a treatment/serum so you should use a moisturizer after it.

I think that’s it! You should absolutely check it out! Since it’s so affordable you should try it, maybe it’ll do wonders to for skin as it did for mine! I bought mine from Lyko website.

I will give it 5⭐️ I really don’t have any complaints about it since it really does exactly as it says it will do, and the price is great!
