There’s so many things to say about Chanel that most of you already know because it’s an ICONIC brand, but I feel like the skincare lines in Chanel are not so often talked about.
My sister is a Professional Fashion & Makeup-artist, she is super talented and used to work at Chanel so she wanted me to try some of their products, one of them was this mask and let me tell you.. she was right!
Let’s break down the ingredients first.
Active ingredients: (written on their webside)
• Camellia Alba PFA,* the iconic active ingredient of the HYDRA BEAUTY line, is extracted from the camellia. Extremely hydrating, it helps the skin restore and maintain optimal moisture levels in the cells.• Blue Ginger PFA,* a powerful antioxidant, protects the skin from free radicals and reinforces its cellular self-defense system.
* PFA: PolyFractioning of Active ingredients. A specific process developed by CHANEL that allows for the creation of ultra-pure cosmetic active ingredients.

The mask itself
So, Chanel is very very famous for their perfumes such as the Chanel no.5 which is the mother of all perfumes as people usually say. With that said, their foundations and skincare products also contain perfume. I usually react to certain fragrance in skincare products, I would say that I have my days… some days the fragrance doesn’t break me out at all and some days it does. However, I love the gentle scent that Chanel products have especially this mask. This mask smells sooo good and it does not break me out at all!
The constistency is a thick white cream, it goes on smoothly and sinks into the skin easily, you will feel that your skin is moisturized too.
This is how you should use the mask as it is written on it’s website:
One to three times a week, depending on the skin’s needs:
– Apply a thick layer of HYDRA BEAUTY Mask to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area.
– Leave on for 10 minutes.
– Gently remove any excess product with a cotton pad.
– Massage the remaining thin layer into the skin.
I, personally use it as a night cream.
The mask on my skin
When I have it on my face at night, the scent really pleases me. It makes me sleep better because the scent is just sooo good! I wake up feeling moisturized, my skin is smooth and soft, my face feels like it’s been brightened and smells good too. The boyfriend likes to sleep really really close to me when I have this mask on haha.
I think this mask is great for hydration, soften and brighten the skin. It has the “radiance” word in it’s name and I think it does exactly as the name says.
The packaging is simple, white and black as the traditional colour of the brand and just a tad bit blue in the name. I love the packaging, even though it is plastic but the design is so simple that it feels modern and expensive anyways.
I’m gonna give this mask a 4/5⭐️, I feel like the fragrance will be a problem for some people with sensitive skin. Otherwise, it does as it claims to do and the result is really good.
Well, that’s it for this pretty face mask. I hope you enjoyed the review, as always I appreciate you reading my post 🙂 Before you go, I’ll leave you with one of my favourite Coco Chanel’s quotes:
Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside. (Coco Chanel)
